There are a range of anti-wrinkle injection brands on the market which you may find reflected in cheaper prices with other practitioners. Rest assured, that during your Prim Herts Aesthetics consultation you will always be informed of the brand providing your treatment.
BOTOX® remains the original pioneer brand, manufactured by Allergan, and is still a leading product in the market with medical approval for certain medical conditions, such as excessive sweating/migraines. It is kept in the fridge until your treatment time and is our practitioner preferred brand.
Alternative brands, such as Bo-couture or Azzalure, can also be provided due to previous sensitivities/ patient preference.
The Consultation
During your free consultation appointment we will talk through your areas of concerns. It is really important for me to understand your goals, timeline of any events upcoming and your job/vocation as these are all factors that may influence the timing of your treatment appointment.
We will also discuss the aftercare requirements and things that you can do to support optimum healing and ultimately achieve the best results for you.
Having a good understanding of the treatment and aftercare process will ensure that when you schedule your treatment appointment, all factors have been considered.
It is also really important that you have time between consultation and treatment to review whether I am the best practitioner for you.
The Procedure
Following your consultation where we will discuss any areas of concerns, you will return for your treatment appointment.
After cleansing the skin, injections sites are landmarked using a temporary skin marker pencil. When you are ready, small injections of a set dose of toxin are placed at specific depths.
Once all injections are completed, the skin is further cleansed.
We will then talk through a reminder of all the aftercare advice.

The Aftercare
Proper aftercare is crucial for preventing toxin migration and ensuring even, natural looking results. You may notice small red lumps at the injection sites which tend to settle within an hour.
First 4 hours after treatment:
You are encouraged to sit upright.
Avoid touching, rubbing, or pressing the injected areas.
Gentle facial movements: making natural expressions helps the product settle into the targeted muscles.
First 24 hours after treatment:
No physical strain: avoid intense workouts or exercise that elevates your heartrate or cause sweating.
Avoid hot environments: we recommend you skip the hot shower, sauna, or hot tub as well as any prolonged sun exposure.
Avoid alcohol: Alcohol thins the blood which can increase the likelihood of bruising.
If possible, avoid heavy make up and skincare products.
